Questions about my setup

It is about time you create your signature with details of your pool and equipment so we don;t have to constantly have you remind us of what type of heater you have and other stuff.

You need to use a cooking thermometer and measure the actual temperature of the spa water when the heater stops.

Then tell us the measured water temperature, the water temperature the app says, and the temperature displayed on the heater control panel.

You can take the heater out of remote mode bypass operation and run the heater from its control panel and see if it heats the water hotter.

The heater may be running in POOL mode and hitting the POOL maximum set point of 90F. Confirm that both POOL and SPA maximum setpoints are set to 104F.

I thought the heater needed to be in standby mode to be operated via automation.

Regardless, I made the comment earlier that my pool mode on my OmniLogic app maxed out at 90, but so mode went all the way to 104.

I don’t see a lot of ways to do much to the heater. It basically has pool mode, spa mode, and standby, and up and down arrows to adjust the temperature (if not using automation).

Updating my sig now

It does and you can take the heater off of automation control and try running it standalone from its control panel.

Adjust the POOL maximum set point on the heater to 104F.

Thank you and I will attempt to figure that out tomorrow. Like I said I the heyward doesn’t have many options. Pool/spa/standby and two arrows. I’ll pull the manual and see if there’s a way to change the maximum set point

Having said all that, is that my end game? When I want the hot tub to be truly a hot tub my automation is pointless? Not the end of the world to go down to the unit itself and punch in the temperature but it sure makes me wonder

I clipped the instructions on how to do that in post #82 above.

Are you reading what is being shared with you?

You have a lot of problems with the setup of your equipment and seem to be challenged as how to make various adjustments. There are many things explained in the manuals that I have linked for you. I am trying to direct you step by step to diagnose and fix your problems.

So it’s clearly an automation issue. I turned the heater on directly at the unit in spa mode and it shot right up

That’s very peculiar because I can control the heater on and off and adjust temp for pool and spa but for some reason it caps at 95
