Question - spa or no spa for new pool build?

If I thought I would use it for therapy/massage jets and all the such, a stand alone hot tub would be better, and likely much less costly. And you can always add those later.

And a stand alone hot tub is usually contoured to your body with jets in better locations too. Much more comfortable too.

Overall less expensive and doesn't rely on the pool equipment to make it run.

Our attached gunite spa is built for a crowd, and gets a lot of use. Fiberglass standalone spas may be better in terms of ergonomics and therapy jets, but because of that I don't think that they seat as many people. It depends on what you want and how you use it.
We love ours, and so do the kids and the grandkids.😁
