Question regarding "The Pool Clearner"?

I have noticed that the cleaner stays in the deep end and doesn't ever work its way to the shallow end. I have moved it to the shallow end but after a few mins it works back to the deep end and doesn't come out. I has no problem working up the break but just wont go all the way to the shallow end. Any ideas of why? Thanks.

Make sure there is enough suction dedicated to the cleaner. You should be able to count the wheel RPM to make sure it has enough suction.

Make sure there are enough hoses attached and that they lie straight and not curled when laying out on the deck.

The RPM is half of optimal so it needs more suction dedicated to it. Does it have its own valve to adjust the suction line? You might have to open this valve some more and/or increase the pump RPM.

Whenever I use my Pool Cleaner I have two options as the cleaner line has its own valve for adjustment. If I run my pump on low-speed then I have to turn the suction valve fully open to get enough suction through the cleaner. If I run the pump on high-speed then I open the valve about 3/4.

Is your hose long enough? If I overlook a section when I put mine in the pool or neglect to point the returns down it gets pulled back to the deep end quickly.

Yeah the hose is plenty long enough. Looks like it was a lack of suction. Turned up the pump speed and it darted to the shallow end right away. Pool builder will be by this weekend to check everything out. He would like to keep the pump speed at 2600rpm so he is going to adjust the valves to get more power to the cleaner.
