Question regarding ACID WASH

Hello,

I would like to know would acid washing my cement pool will remove my black algae problem. If so, is it permanent or temp? I plan on doing epoxy paint for my pool.

20k gallon cement pool.

Acid washing may temporarily remove it but the conditions that caused it will probably still be there.

Better to get rid of it through chlorination.
