Question RE: Replacing Water Temp Sensor

Being new to pool ownership I want to make sure I don't screw anything up here.

My water temp sensor is bad and must be replaced. It is installed on the pressure side between my filter and heater. Is turning the pump off sufficient prep to pull the old one out and replace or am I going to get shot in the face with water?

Welcome to TFP!

That depends on your pool and layout. An AG pool or one where the equipment is below the water level may require you to plug the returns. Otherwise it shouldn't be an issue.
