Question About Pool Math Calculator

Hi,

I'm new to this website & forum.

I am looking at the Pool Math calculator & trying to figure out what to put in the Temperature field. Should that be air temperature or water temperature?

That should be water temperature.

I thought so, but wanted to make sure. Right now my CYA is high because of using pool store shock for so long. I switched to bleach & am waiting for it to lower. The CH is low so I just added some Calcium Chloride & I am looking forward to getting a better handle on my pool chemical levels now that I have found this website & am learning more about how to take care of my pool!

Post a full set of numbers and tell us your type of test kit.

If your CYA is high, you will probably need to drain a portion of your water and refill. CYA doesn't go away very quickly.
