Question about Pentair app controller

Our pool was finished in December and we didn’t want to pay the $800 upcharge for the wireless app capability to run the Pentair system. However the guy who did our pool school said the antenna was there to run the Wi-Fi system and therefore the controller must have been somewhere as well. Did they accidentally install the wireless system? See attached pic of the control panel with the wire coming out of the top.9BE97B90-51F5-4404-B746-58025061AF89.jpeg

Ben,

Well Ben, that is your automation system.. that is why you can't control your SWCG...

What you have is the Antenna end of the ScreenLogic wireless (Not Wi-Fi) controller. It is useless unless you have the other half. And, you can't buy just one half.

Your pool builder should have the other half and it is useless to him without the half you have.

In my opinion you made a mistake not buying ScreenLogic. It makes using and programming the EasyTouch about 10X easier than using the just the panel itself.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Yea I think I’m hindsight we should have bought the WiFi system. I’ll reach out to the builder and see if he has the other half of the controller.

It is hard to find by itself. I was lucky and found someone with one and bought it. Then used a wireless bridge to get into my wifi system. No need for the antennas.
