Question about leaves on vinyl liner

I have a question for the forum. I have a few large leaves that are sitting on the bottom of my AGP. For the next 6 months they will just sit there, can they like stain the liner as they decompose from the water an chlorine? A couple years ago we had an Intex pool and my wife swears that the leaves left an outline on the liner and stained it. Should I take the cover off and skim out the leaves to avoid marks on our liner?

They can and will stain, but the stains should be easily removed by elevated chlorine levels (SLAM) and direct application of our friend------the chlorine puck.

Interesting. I guess I should just remove them because (hopefully). I won't need to slam. And I don't own pucks

I wouldn't use pucks directly on a liner as that can bleach the liner. Leaves can leave organic stains, but they usually resolve fairly quickly once they're removed and exposed to normal fc levels.
