Should I be worried about my vinyl liner bead micro-cracking? (pics attached)

I have an AquaSport 52 with a good quality, thick vinyl liner. The pool is 4 years old and this year I noticed that on one side of my pool the very top of the bead on the vinyl liner is discolored/yellowed. To me it looks like sun damage. This is only happening on one side on about 15 feet of the liner. We have Low-E Windows back there and they were literally melting things in the backyard so I'm 90% sure that was the cause. I've since solved/eliminated the Low-E melting issue but am left with some minor damage on my pool liner bead.

Questions
  • Has anyone seen anything like this before?
  • Should I be worried this will shorten the life of the liner?
  • Is there anything I can do about it? I.E. vinyl liner conditioner or something like that?

So, I didn’t know what Low E windows were, so I googled it and found this. Given what the article describes with regard to damage to vinyl, you are probably right about the cause of the discoloration and texture change. I don’t know of anything topical that could solve this. I would inspect carefully and frequently for cracks or splits, and at the first sign of even a tiny fault, replace the liner.

I just noticed mine starting to do this after 3-4 years of use. How’s yours holding up?
