Hi! I'm new here and very excited - (I shall make a post in the appropriate section soon :) )

I have seen some previous questions about donation matching by employers, and getting a receipt for manually matching the donation.

My employer also matches 100% and there are two ways:
a) Donating through THEIR online tool (benevity - already TFP is there), and matching automatically.
b) Donating through the cause (in this case TFP) and then requesting a match.

For (a) donation and matching would be automatic, but TFP would need to manually "connect" the donation to my profile - I can add a note to the online donation tool (benevity) employer uses with my username. Or should I email someone after the fact?

For (b) it would need a receipt with a statement that no goods or services were provided in return for the donation, first/last name of donor, receiving organization 501c3 name, donation amount, date of donation.

What would be the preferred route? I think (a) works based on some posts from 2018 I read, I just wanted to make sure!

Thank you and looking forward to being an active member!

Welcome to TFP!

Let's ping @Leebo. He should be able to help you help us.

While wading around, dive into Pool School:

Best wishes!

Hey Konstantinos and Welcome !!!!

It warms my heart that you've seen enough good here already to donate before we've helped you. That means we helped the last bunch of folks spectacularly. We will be just as happy to do the same for you if any need arises.

Hang tight for Lee.

I’m like 99% sure I know the answer, but we’ve done a few things behind the scenes over the last few months and I want to make sure I’m correct.

Again, WELCOME!
