Question about a pentair rainbow 320 chlorinator issue

I have a Pentair Rainbow 320 chlorinator. For a while now it has been making a loud rattling sound. I had just assumed it was the chlorinated tablets inside the chlorinator. After doing research online, I could not find many other people having the same issue.

So today I removed the tablets from the chlorinator and noticed that the chlorinator is still making the rattling sound as it runs.

Anyone have any advice on what this issue is or what is causing this issue?

I don't believe there is anything abnormal about that.

It's just water running through the housing.

My brand new multiport-valve makes that sound as well as the old one before it.

There's a screen in the bottom that can come loose, part number R172255. Maybe it's loose and rattling.

When I removed the chlorine tablets I did check the screen, which appeared to be secure.

Maybe a check valve. It definitely sounds like something is loose.

You might have to remove the chlorinator to see if something is loose.

To remove, remove the set screw and tubing then unscrew the chlorinator from the T.
