Thinking of having about 4 PVC pipes installed in concrete on edge of pool for umbrella to be put into for shade. Also might put them elsewhere in concrete where our lounger etc might be. Anyone done this and think its a good idea? Just don't want to put unnecessary holes in the concrete.

I agree with Bdavis, the caps on the umbrella sleeves will keep debris out of them when they aren’t in use...we have 5 Installed around ours.
Yes, sorry, i said PVC, but i think the installer was referencing the ones in your links with caps. Ill print it out and show them for sure. I think it would be a great idea to have around pool for shade.
