Pump Whining

I have a Jandy SHPF 2.5 pump running between my vanishing edge tank and waterfall. It started to may a whining noise last week. Took it apart and saw that the impeller was worn. Ran the motor and it sounded fine, so I replaced the impeller and diffuser. Just put it back together and it’s still making an abnormally loud noise. Before I take everything apart again, I wanted to check in here. Could I have a motor bearing going bad. I don’t think anything could have gone wrong going back together - pretty simple. As always, I appreciate your feedback and help.

In looking at the parts Diagram, I’m wondering if it’s the mechanical shaft seal that goes into the backplate. The impeller was worn where it contacts the difuser, which lead me to believe it was moving around in on its rotation point. I didn’t think to replace the seal with the impeller and difuser it but would have been a good idea for an additional $20. Guess I’ll take it apart and test my theory.

The only way the impeller could be "moving around its rotation point," in other words "wobbling," would be because of bad bearings, not the shaft seal.
Any time an impeller is removed, or replaced, the seal should be replaced as well. Once it is disturbed by disassembly, it can easily leak. Yeah, its a Jandy pump, so parts are more expensive.
