Pump - watts used increases throughout the day

An update: I removed the inoperable and ancient pool heater and the issue I had appears to have gone away. It could be a coincidence, but the removal was a good choice nevertheless, I think--the heater used copper pipes and when I removed them from the heater the ends of the pipes basically disintegrated (and the heater inlets where mutated with corrosion).

Glad you got your answer ! Crud was building up in your heater, which restricted flow, which raised your pump wattage. Man, its never a dull day around here.

The pump adjusts the rpm to maintain the gpm.

The gpm calculation is not very accurate.

Most likely the pump was increasing the rpm to maintain the calculated gpm, which was probably not actually changing very much anyway.
