We just got a new Hayward Power Flo LX 1hp pump. I’ve been running it 24 hrs for a couple days and noticed a tiny bit of water accumulating on the outside of the housing under the shaft towards the impeller (maybe a couple mLs overnight). It’s not dripping or actively spitting, and the shaft is dry, but should I be concerned? Considering how the 2-part seals work, would a tiny amount of water working its way through be considered “normal”?

No water leaking is normal. I would be working with Hayward to see about getting a tech out to look it over.
