Ya and where the impeller slides into the intake is very worn and sloppy. Idk how interference it’s supposed to be tho.The impeller shows having wear perhaps it's warped adding to shaft vibration.
Your existing sealplate does, indeed, seem to be damaged (heat). You can see the seal is not centered in the opening. When Pentair took the copper heat-sink from those pumps the problem started. If you can get a new Max-E-Glass 2, Pro, etc. sealplate for $60.00, get it before they change their mind. That is an excellent price.Seal plate from AZpoolsupplies.com is on sale for $60. Have you heard of them? I may just get a new seal plate and new shaft seal and see what happens. It was pouring out pretty heavily this morning.
Well the part numbers aren't matching up. If I look at parts breakdowns of my pump it shows the seal plate as part number C203-194P. The seal plate for $60 on AZpools is part number C103-194P and it says its for a VS pump/ Max E pro. The 203 part number on AZpools says its for Max-E-glas pumps which mine is not. I could use someones opinion on thats more knowledgeable. They look identical, ones $60 and the other is $150. My pump model number is p6ra6e-205l.Your existing sealplate does, indeed, seem to be damaged (heat). You can see the seal is not centered in the opening. I usually apply a very small bead of silicone sealant right at the corner of the rubber cup and then push the ceramic into the opening with the handle of a screwdriver so as to not touch the sealing face. The manufacturer started doing it that way with new pumps.
What is the exact model number and date of manufacture?so I don't see P6 on that sheet so the 103 wouldn't work for my pump?
Possibly.Maybe the previous owner put a new seal plate on and instead of 203 put on a 103???
