Pump Setting Suggestions

I'm new to all of this and looking for some pump setting and schedule suggestions. All my pool info should be in my signature for reference. I will need my pump to heat, skim, and chlorinate with the SWG. I think my PB set me up on a 12 hour schedule but it also may have been 24 hours at 2500 RPM. Anyway, that was over producing chlorine, so I cut it down in time to 8 hours and a lower SWG usage percentage. I have the intellicenter running the "pool" circuit from 10am-6pm and then running "None" from 6pm-10am. But I'm not sure how this effects the heat as I haven't turned that on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been watching youtubes on the intellicenter programming but I'm still so confused on what's what and who's who and what runs when. Please help :)

Whoa, that's way overkill on the RPMs for 24/7 running.

Most folks around here set their regular "pool mode" RPMs to around 12-1300, just enough to keep the flow switch closed on the SWG, then program a higher flow rate a few times a day to keep the surface skimmed. I've got an intellicenter but it's probably on the original firmware and I rarely log in via computer. I just dinked around with the menu on the control unit itself to figure those settings out. Should be something like Menu -> Settings -> IntelliFlow -> and then you can see the different circuits and change the RPMs.

Somebody with a lot more knowledge will probably chime in real soon. Hope that helped at least a little.

Thanks! That’s kind of what I thought re RPMs too. That makes total sense on running the minimum most of the time and juicing it up occasionally for skimming.
