Pump running in spa mode in cold weather

Hi all. This is my first winter and I’m trying to learn my system. Since we’ve had weather in the 30’s this week my pump has been shifting to run in spa mode instead of pool mode. This comes with higher rpm’s (2350 vs 1850) than my normal pool mode. I assume this is something that was programmed in by the pb? The air temp is 35 and the water temp is 46…

Does this make sense or can the pool run in normal pool mode and just run 24/7 while it’s cold?

If Freeze Protection is enabled for your Pool and Spa the EasyTouch should cycle between POOL and SPA every 15 minutes with the actuators turning.

You need the pump running and water flowing through both the POOL and SPA pipes to prevent freezing.
