I have a single speed pump and after reading a ton yesterday will be going with the RJ60 or IC60. Looked at the Core Control 55 but I think i am better off have the extra power of the 60 cells. Prefer to have ability to catch up on FC as quickly as possible if necessary.

Currently have a single speed Hayward Super Pump form plus 10 years ago. Works fine. I run it in season 8AM-5PM 7 days a week

Is there a better way to do this with a V S pump. If so please link pumps you own that you like or newer ones you would buy if you needed one now.

Thanks

Jeff

Pentair Intelliflo3 with IO board. You can run it on slow speeds 24/7 to provide desired skimming and likely spend less on electric than your current Hayward superpump. With the IO board, the pump can also control your heater and SWG to provide pseudo automation.

Liquid chlorine is a *right now* boost.

Especially useful not being there, 24/7 at low RPM skims, filters and keeps the FC topped off around the clock. That way, it doesn't matter what, happens when, you're covered.

I could have great skimming as low as 1200 RPMs (110W) but I boost it a little because it's so cheap and we like the look of more water movement.

If I am going with the RJ60+ for the less expensive option, would it still pay to get this pump?

The relay on the IO board doesn’t care what SWG it’s powering as long as it draws less than the rated output of the relay.
