Last season, both of my single speed pumps blew. One was for my spa and the other for the pool (unground, 20x40). Both pumps were 20 years old, so I can’t complain.
The pumps were Jandy PHPU1.5. Single speed, 1.5 hp.
Unfortunately I’m not in the greatest situation right now to be spending a lot of money. This might be the first time in my life where I’m willing to spend twice, sacrificing quality now, knowing I’ll have to repurchase a few years down the line.
I’ve been looking locally for used pumps but haven’t found any.
Does anyone have any suggestions for lower quality pumps that will last two or three seasons?
