Pump is burping?

About a week into learning TFP care, my pump started 'burping' air every 10 seconds or so, as seen here:

I'm also not sure the pump is supposed to look quite like this:

I don't see any leaks. Any idea what's happening?

Water is very low, fill immediately to halfway of waterline tile. This should fix it eventually but you have air coming in from the skimmer since the water isn’t high enough. Then you might want to bleed the filter to get air out and if that doesn’t work prime the pump. Just get water in the pool ASAP

Thank you! Amazing that the pool guy out here to quote me on an SWG yesterday noticed the burping but didn't figure out why. At least I can claim ignorance for a little longer!

This website has helped me so much, you will learn and everyone here is extremely helpful.
The pool water will evaporate especially in hot weather and splash out will cause you to have to top off the water every so often. If it ever happens quick it could be a leak.
Another thing that can cause that is if you use a pool vacuum that attaches to the skimmer you have to prime the hose first (pretty much filling it with water so there is no air in the hose) then attach it to the skimmer. If air is in the hose it will do a similar thing.
I’ve learned these from experiencing both situations.
