Pump badly corroded - replace or repair?

Appreciate the technical comparison, but I am looking for some more personal recommendations. If you bought one today, which would you get?
I like the idea of using the phone app/wifi, so a newer pump, with newer wifi technology for the same price as the pump without this would make sense?

Also looks like the newer one might need more plumbing (as it has 2" outlets?) and the outlets sit higher than the 011056.

Do you recommend one over the other? My local pool shop has both and they are almost the same price. Is one better than the other? Newer? More compatible with my older 011018 setup? Any help appreciated.
Both are compatible with your EasyTouch and will work the same as your 011018 pump.

The 011075 is newer and supposed to be a bit more efficient. Although newer is not necessarily better and you will not see any difference in efficiency between the two pumps.

The key difference between the 011056 and the 011075 is the controls. The 011056 has a full featured control panel. The 011075 is controlled by an app when not under control of your ET or you can buy an optional touchscreen control panel.

I prefer a control panel on the pump. I don't want to be required to have my phone to control it in SERVICE mode. And if I have my wife or housekeeper need to do something on the pump they will not likely have the app. If you have any pool service worker they may not have app access to control your pump in SERVICE mode. And if the pump does not run and you can't get the app connected to control it will be tough figuring out what the problem is. These are all the reasons I will not get a pump without a control panel.

If I got the 011075 I would add the optional touchscreen control panel - Optional Touchscreen Controller (Almond - P/N 356159z, Black - P/N 356348z)

The 011075 manual says:

Depending on your particular setup, fault codes will display on one or more of the user interfaces:
• Pentair Home App
• Automation System Interface
• Optional Touchscreen Controller (Almond - P/N 356159z, Black - P/N 356348z)

That all makes sense. In terms of someone else not having the app - isn't that what my wall panel is for? Pic attached.
Does the wifi app override this manual panel? Or is that not the same as having a panel directly on the pump?

When you put the EasyTouch into SERVICE mode the pump reverts to manual controls.

It works the same as your 011018 pump did. When the ET is controlling the pump the pump controls are locked out and the pump shows "DISPLAY NOT ACTIVE".

When you put the ET panel into SERVICE mode then the local pump controls become active.

The 011075 APP controls will only work when the pump is not under the ET control.

Got it! The service panel is of no use to anyone without the app as the pump has no manual controls. Thanks for taking the time. I think I will just go with the 011056 and straight swap what I had.

Also your EasyTouch outdoor control panel will not display any error codes from the pump. You will need to put the ET in SERVICE Mode and connect with the APP to see any of these messages:

Check under the new pump periodically for any sign of a leak (at least weekly).

Have a new seal ready to go and replace the seal immediately on detection of a leak.

I have a webcam mounted below my pump so that I can watch for any sign of a leak.

The video is always in picture-in-picture on any screen I use.

The camera also has A.I that has been trained to spot leaks.

I have a "Go-Kit" with all of the necessary parts, tools, supplies etc. and I practice daily responding to a leak.

My goal is to be able to replace the seal within 10 minutes of the first sign of a seal leak.

It's a little bit OCD, but it works for me.
just all i can say is "my god"

a little ocd
