My wife and I just purchased a home with an existing pool. 25,000 gallons, sand filter, and a local company that opens, closes, and maintains it. I am looking to take over all duties related to the pool eventually. I live in North Dakota so the pool season is short but the pool has been open for about a month now. Pool maintenance team comes once per week to clean and add chemicals (and leave a report). I also bought a Betta SE pool skimmer that has been working for the last 10 days. I purchased a TF-Pro test kit but have yet to open it up and try it out. I'm a nerdy guy so I am looking forward to working on this chemistry project!

Welcome to TFP....
Once you use the TF-Pro test kit, I think you will be shocked at how badly maintained it really is, at least chemical wise...
