Psi after adding DE to sand filter

Hello. I added about 1/2 C DE to my sand filter after having a few days of algae developing & cloudy water. The psi is normally 15. After 2 hrs the psi is 20. Is that worrisome? Should I shut off the pump/filter?
My plan was to run it a bit longer than normal & backwash again in the AM. Now I'm worried I might overtax the equipment.

That PSI is fine.

I would not worry unless the PSI is over 30.

Most pool equipment is rated to 50psig.

As long as you still have decent flow out of the returns worry not.
