Protecting new intex

I had a 12 foot prism frame intex pool for 2 seasons before taking it down today. It was a mess with rust, and I don't know how it was still standing. 2 of the legs broke off just from my scooting it after draining.
I was out today and came across a 15 foot prism frame on clearance for $70...I couldn't pass that up. I would like to do something to help avoid the rust. It seems the rust formed mostly at all the T joints. Is there something I can dip the pieces in or paint on that will help? Any ideas?? Thanks

Lots of things have been discussed here to try and protect Intex frames from rust. Such as...

This thread has an interesting solution.

AGPs are typically outdoors, and are exposed to the elements, and moisture. As such, rust will form. Its inevitable, however, we can slow down the process a bit and take precautions.
Ive been thinking, next season we are going with a new pool. Both ideas above are great, greasing the connections and the vinyl flap. I will be adding both. In addition, I will be coating everything in 2 coats of rustoleum paint. Honestly, I think that's the best we can do in the end.

Thanks. Yes, I'd just like to slow it down a bit. My 12 foot intex only lasted 2 seasons. I'm actually surprised it didn't fail (as in fall apart) during season 2. I didn't realize just how severe the rust was until I started taking it down and 2 legs just snapped off. I think I'll start with the rustoleum. That's something I can do over the winter. And I suppose the vinyl flaps when I get it up.

With my old pool, it seems the rust was basically on the inside of the T's and legs. I suppose the coating they put on the outside helps, but if they aren't going to coat the inside, then it will rust.

Good point on the inside. I almost wonder if using spray foam insulation on the inside could potentially keep the moisture out. I'll do some research.
