What are the proper settings for a VS motor. I run it 24/7. 3200 rpm 8:30a-6:30p; 1500 rpm. What should the proper settings? (My pool has never clouded up in 22 years even tho I've had other issues.)
Very simple. Run primarily at a low rpm 99% of the time. If you have a salt generator, an rpm of about 1,200 or so should be plenty to satisfy the flow switch and provide adequate water surface skimming. Those are your two biggest priorities unless this pump also powers a cleaner. You might program it once or twice a day at a higher rpm for a few minutes just to purge any air out of the pump pot, but that's basically it.
