Started pool this season and everything working just fine except heater. It fires-up just fine when manually selecting Mode=Pool, but the Prologic is not auto-starting the heater when the Pool Temp is below the set temp. Pool heater settings all look normal on prologic, set to auto-control, temp readings are accurate, heater set to on. Any thoughts?

What model heater? Please put details of your pool in your signature. See What we need to know to answer your questions

Most pool heaters are controlled by the firemans switch. That is a simple 24V 2 wire connection between the automation and the heater.

when manually selecting Mode=Pool,

Is this on the heater control panel or Prologic panel?

when you want to auto start the heater, two ques:

1. How long has the filter pump been running?
2 What constant RPM's is the filter pump set to and for how long?

The heater will not fire-up if the filter pump is not at 2950RPM's or greater...I am not sure of the exact minimum RPM's, but I know there is one and I know it's high.
