So I have the Pentair Intellicenter with a Pentair VSF pump as my primary system. Is there a way to program the ramp rate for pump start and stop to reduce the hydraulic shock produced by suddenly stopping the pump from the Intellicenter or do I have to disconnect the pump and program that on the pump itself before reconnecting to the intellicenter?

What problem is hydraulic shock when you turn off the pump causing you?

I see no signs of hydraulic shock when my pump turns off.

Paul,

Tell us more, because something is not right.. If I tell my pump to run at max speed, it will slowly increase speed in steps. Same thing happens when it goes from full speed down to slow speed.

Just to make sure things are wired correctly, tell me what you see when you look at the pump's display when the Automation is in the Auto mode.. It should say "Display not active".. Then put the system in the Service mode and tell me what the pump's display says.. It should not be blank.

What RPM are you normally running??

Thanks,

Jim R.

When the pop up heads are running its running at the max speed of 3400 ish rpm I think. As it starts yes it slowly comes up to speed however when it shuts down or if I stop it it stops immediately vs running down. Yes the display does show not active. Have to see how to put it into service mode and see what it says.
