problems with pool filter

I have a 16 x 32 above ground with a S210TC hayward sand filter. I have checked the sand and did a deep clean. Can I send someone my picture of my pipes coming into the filter and have you check to make sure I don't have them backwards? I've been trying to clear up pool for a week with the pump running continuously.


I wrote about this earlier. When I backwash, the water does not come out as strong as in years past. I don't see much brown and green water when I backwash, but when I rinse, I see quite a bit of green and brown water. When I place it back in filter mode, the green and brown water comes right back into the pool.

It's backwards.

The line from the pump goes into the top hole. It should be labeled "Pump".

This diagram shows suction from pump going into top port and return into lower port.
