Priming issue

I have a Pentair intelliflo variable speed ultra energy efficient pump that I'm having issues priming. I have an alarm code of supply fault and it will not move past it. I have reset the system and I am still getting the alarm. Does anyone have any ideas. Need to get pool running before I run into issues with green water.

M,

Welcome to TFP.. a great place to find the answers to all your "Are the Stars and Stripes still flying?" pool questions... :shark:

Do you have a Priming issue or will your pump not run at all???

An alarm code of "Supply Fault" is more about having too low or too high of an AC voltage into the pump..

Has the pump been running fine and now has problem or is this the first time it has been used.

It is wired directly to a 220 volt GFCI breaker or is these something in-between??

Tell us more... does it run for an hour and then quit or what?????

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

The pump has been running fine for a couple of years now. I turned the pump off to clean the filters and when I put the everything back together the supply fault alarm was on and now I can't get it to turn off so that the pump will turn on. I took the pump off and checked to make sure nothing was clogged in the impeller. All was clear. The pump is controlled by the easy touch control system. It has been running good. Not sure what is happening. Should I take the pump and have it checked? Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The pool has not been running for 4 days and it is starting to change colors due the the heat.

m,

The first thing I would do is push the reset button on the pump's control panel.. Next, turn the pump's GFCI breakers off for a minute and then back on.. The breakers should be in the bottom of your EasyTouch...

If it still does not work, then I would check the AC input voltage to the pump... Measure the AC voltage right where the power wires connect to the pump.

If you have 220 volts right at the pump, then my guess would be that your pump's control panel has failed.

If less than three years old, contact your pool builder, or Pentair, and get it fixed under warranty...

Thanks,

Jim R.
