Pressure Cleaner pump making whining sound.

We just returned from a weeks vacation. Our Polaris cleaner is scheduled to run for about 2 hours each morning, typically under the solar cover.
Today I emptied the bag and started it up to get the debris that as accumulated from the cover edge and the pump is now making a whining noise.
Is it safe to run this pump? It is delivering enough pressure for the Polaris to run normally.
Any hints as to what it might be or other trouble shooting tips?

It is safe to run the pump.

May be a bearing wearing.

My booster pump has been noisy for a few years. I let it run daily.
