Hi all. I have a question regarding variable speed pump RPM’s when using Hayward OmniLogic automation. I have low, medium, high settings for my pump as presets for my automation. Is there a recommended RPM setting for each one. If I set it too low will that cause spitting from my returns due to not enough water getting pumped? I found the attached in the manual so I was thinking I would set low at 1440 RPM. Medium at 2012 and High at 2875. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Don't...

If you do NOT have a heater than I would suggest you set your lowest speed to 1200 or so.. Then med speed to 1500, and high speed to 2800...

If you have a heater, then add about 300 rpm...

A lot really depends on what equipment you have.. What actual size pump you have, and the size of your filter..

The speeds should be customized for your pool and equipment.. One size does not always fit all.

Thanks,

Jim R.

You only need two speeds.

The heater speed should be at least 2,400 RPM to maybe 2,750 RPM.

With the heater off, 1,500 RPM is probably ok.
