Greetings. I’ve read some, if not all the pool school information and just wanted confirmation on raising my CH from 230 to 350 as recommended by the “water balance for SWG” information page. I’ve had the CH at 230 for the past 30 days while the plaster was curing and just wanted to make sure I’m doing this preaperation correctly.

My readings as of yesterday are
FC=5
CYA=40 (will increase to 70 as recommended)
PH=7.6
TA=60 (will increase to 70 as recommended)
CH=230 (will increase to 350) as recommended)

salt levels are low around 2460 due to heavy rains and draining of pool.

I’m I on the correct path?

Welcome to the forum!

What is the pH, TA, and CH of your fill water?

If the CH of your fill water is higher than 100 ppm, you may not want to add calcium.

Also, do not mess with the CYA or TA. This time of year I suspect you can leave the CYA and the TA is fine.
