Yes. Ahhsome goes after the biofilm that shields the organics from the harsh environment. It breaks it all loose from the plumbing so the water can sterilize it.
Typically we've found to not need it in pools but yours has been a norm challenger from the get go. For hot tubs, most who've tried it have seen what you're seeing. This is just one more confirmation that if anything is in there, the ahhsome will find and expel it.

Sigh, won’t lie it’s wearing me out . three seasons of fighting. Just this season has been daily since March 27th.

Nah. Just let the Ahhsome do it's thing. It'll get out all the crud and raise the FC demand while it does.
This is pretty good IMO, all things considered. The party may have made up the bulk of the losses.

This is a pic of the skimmer while on low speed (1850 rpm) not really enough suction to keep the sock down and seems to be when a “skin” forms on top of the water - I’m not sure if that’s algae or ahhsome forming the layer/skin
Is this normal for suction or should it be set to higher rpm for low speed?

More RPM probably sucks the oil/sludge down quicker but then they're harder to clean inside the filter, so I'd prefer easy access to them. It could also just be residual body oils/sunblock from the party. Tennis balls help alot with the gunk/slick floating in there.
As long as the weir doors are bobbing along, it's enough RPMs.

You're safe up to SLAM (16FC) as you know.
