Pre pool opening (white water mold)

The others can wait another day. Mostly because you want it well mixed after such crazy storms.

For learnings sake, CYA, salt and CH need a full day to mix after large additions of water or the chemicals themselves.

FC, PH and TA need 20 mins to mix with good circulation.

But. PH is invalid at 10+ FC, and you lower TA by managing the PH that's currently invalid.

So. :ROFLMAO:

Sit tight and enjoy the day off, besides copies amounts of cleaning.

Up to you. Getting half out today leaves only half needing out tomorrow. But if it's nasty out still...... lol. Maybe get what you can later in the day, closer to OCLT time.

6:30 am fc 19 cc 0.5
8:30 pm fc 16 cc 0.5

Last Lc addition was yesterday 7:30 am (so 37 hours)
I didn’t vac so plenty debris / dirt in pool

I’ll use tonights 16/0.5 for tomorrow morning target (oclt)

You DID !!!!!

The 11 hour span and wind blowing crud in probably explains the 1 FC loss.

Let the FC drift down which will take some days, then we work on the rest. (If needed)

Well woooohooo!!

Am I leaving the cover open all the time ?
According to PM my fc target is now 7. Just test once a day?
You can close it to prevent debris but be sure to open it a few hours a day to keep cc’s from being trapped.
With it closed it may take some time for fc to fall to target levels so if you’re wanting that to happen more quickly you might want to keep it open more during the day so the uv burns the fc off.

7ppm is low target 🎯 for cya of 60.
You want to aim for high target (9ppm) & be sure to replenish before fc nears minimum.

Since you leave the pool mostly covered this will mean your daily fc consumption is likely lower than most but be aware that on an uncovered sunny day with swimmers your loss will be higher (average 2-4ppm/day) so dose accordingly so it doesn’t sneak up & bite you.

THIS . Omg the wind here lately !

My pump slows way down for 4 hours a night (4-8 am). I’m thinking around 1100 rpm? (is it measured in rpm ?) the overnight low is going to be 28 degrees . Is that enough movement to keep stuff safe ?
Yes - it should be sufficient.
If the pool is covered (or even if not) the water temp is likely well above freezing also.
