Hi all
Power just went out in SC with temps at 11 going up to 30. Power not estimated back on for 8 hours Cold weather pump was running but now it’s off. I have a bypass valve on my heater and swg. Any thoughts on if i should open that up and drain them both?
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Joe

Yes, flip off your breakers and remove the drain plugs from your pump, filter, and heater. Drain everything you can and if you have a shopvac or compressor blow out any lines you can.

Power back on. Hair dryer and air compressor blew out what i could. Dont have winterizing equipment anymore like i had up north. Will start everything back up when it warms over 40

I am in Atlanta and it was 8 this morning, I had already drained everything but my pool has a 1/2” of ice on top.
Forecast shows it starting to warm up so you should be ok.
