HI,
I am hoping to get my pool back online today.

Once we lost power, I pulled the pump plugs, heater plug plug, opened the relief valve and bundled blankets over all the pipes and pumps. I have never had to add water and restart my pool before so I am open to your help.

Note: My equipment is lower than my pool. I have 3 pumps.

My plan:
- Reinstall the plugs
- Open relief valve
- Add water to the point on the skimmer that it just hits the overflow
- Turn circuits back on at the breaker
- Turn circuits back on at the pool box
- Test the water feature pump and turn off after 5 minutes if it works
- Add additional water if water level drops
- Test the spa pump and turn off after 5 minutes if it works
- Add additional water if water level drops
- Test the pool/spa combo pump
- Add additional water if water level drops
- Test pool cleaner
- Adjust chemicals and let the pool cycle for 24 hours with the cleaner
- Close relief valve

Please adjust as you see necessary. Thank you!
Kate

What is your water temp? If it is below 60 I would just wait until this freeze is totally over. You have effectively winterized your pool. If it is "near" 60, you can add a gallon of bleach every week and mix it with your leaf rake or a brush. Were you able to drain any of your pipes?

Hi Kate. I would agree with PG above. No need to rush. But if you've already committed to refilling and getting it going, you might also remove the clear pump basket lid and fill it with water. That may help with initial prime. Also double check any manual 3-way valves to ensure they are fully open.
