PoolMath just sits and spins

I want to subscribe to PoolMath, but it isn't working. When I tap "Subscribe" the screen greys out and the little arrow starts to spin. And keeps spinning. It never goes anyplace. I've left it to spin for 15 min just to see if anything happens, it doesn't.

I'm using PoolMath on a Kindle Fire 8 HD with the latest OS 5.6.4.0, updated 4/25/19. I'm using WiFi in our house and have a great signal.b

Any ideas?

Yeah, I shut it down every night, and rebooting is the first thing I do when the darn thing acts the fool.
