PoolMath 81 oz size option?

@Leebo, the pool math app is confusing me. I've been using it to dose the muriatic acid for my pH, and the doses it recommends haven't been enough. For example, my pH was 8.4 and I wanted to lower it to 7.4 (300g hot tub). It was saying I needed to add 0.4oz (or 2 tsp). I would add that, but of course it barely touches my pH. I'm basically needing to add 5-8x as much to eventually lower my pH. Today I decided to double check the addition with pool math on my laptop and sure enough, where the app said 0.4 oz was needed, my laptop said 2.4 oz was needed. What am I doing wrong?? It was to be something I've set differently...

Do you have anything in the Borate field on the browser based pool math tool?

When I input your levels into the browser pool math tool with no borates, the recommended acid amount matches what your are getting with the pool math app (0.4 oz). But, if I add borates, the recommended amount jumps up considerably, ie - borate level of 40 increases recommended acid to 2.4 oz.

Yes I do, 45 under Borates on the browser math tool. I looked at adding that to the app, but don't see an option. The browser math tool is more accurate to what I need.

In the pool math app, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner. Then when you scroll down to the section “What do you want to track?”, you should see a toggle to Track Borates.
