Pool Start-up After drain

I input your data into PoolMath and get the same amount of 10% bleach needed to raise FC from 2 to 6 ppm regardless of the CYA level.

Remember, when you change a datapoint, such as CYA, you need to reenter the Target FC if different than what Poolmath uses for that CYA level.

@Leebo @mknauss can you explain what PoolMath is doing?

Good afternoon,
Sorry for Reviving and old thread, I have been away for s couple of months.
@ajw22 It seems like the app was fixed see attached
Can you tell me how you got your screenshots, are they from Pool Math app? I am curious about the Effect showing "Raise SALT by 6.0" I never noticed before and the reason I drain the pool was because it had a salty taste.
Any recommendation to avoid Salt increase and taste?

Finally, I noticed my CYA is low again, is this something I need to monitor more closely like monthly?

Thank you all

Yes.

All types of chlorine have salt in them to bind the chlorine gas to a solid substance.

Finally, I noticed my CYA is low again, is this something I need to monitor more closely like monthly?

Yes, you should be checking CYA at least monthly.
