Pool slides

Our new pool has a plastic SR Smith Cyclone slide. It overhangs the pool by 6 inches. However when the valve to the water to the slide is on, the water runs back under the slide and onto the decking. This happens even with water pressure increase. Is there any kind of diverter that could be placed under the slide? Or what might be other solutions?

Welcome to TFP.

You have the same problem spa spillovers have. Surface tension caries the water under the lip.

The fix is a groove.. about a 1/4" deep and 1/4" back from the front going across the whole lip.. Its job is to break the surface tension.

Have you spoken to SR Smith about the problem? I am surprised they don't have something there.
