Why not.. Salt is salt, its not like you are cutting your vodka with Tequila or or sneaking a can of Campbell's into the bouillabaisse. Just don't use the Chlorox salt, it "may" have contaminants.
Most of us use water softener salt. Home depot has "Solar Salt". The crystals dissolve better, but they all dissolve in the end. I bought a bag of the pool salt, because it was the same price (Ace Hardware). It dissolved in 5 minutes instead of 10 minutes...
Actually I thought I would get a bigger reaction to the Bouillabaisse reference, now there is a group that gets nutted up about their fish stew. The other is just stupid human college tricks
