Pool robot stuck on wall anchors - help!

Hello everyone! I’m new to posting here but have found the information on the forum extremely helpful as I’m settling in to being a new pool owner. Looking for some suggestions with a new problem…

I recently purchased a new dolphin robot for our inground pool and I love it (used this forum for my research on what to buy)! However unfortunately as it cleans the skim line and sides of my pool, it has a hard time moving over these stupid rope anchors that are installed in the sides of the pool where the deep end begins. It actually got stuck on one yesterday and I’m terrified that it’s eventually going to rip the rubber pads on the robot. I tried to unscrew the anchors and one did unscrew however I found that there are bolts that screw out of the liner. So if I take the hooks off I’m left with just a long bolt which I think would be more harmful for the dolphin to navigate over. Any ideas for some kind of cap or cover I could screw over these bolts that would be more friendly for the dolphin to move over?

thanks in advance for looking,
Allison

Welcome to the forum!
Can you post a picture of what you are dealing with?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
Hi mknauss

thanks so much. Yes please see attached photos of the anchor and then the bolt when I take it off. Again as the robot scrubs the skim line the rubber tracks have a hard time going over these and in one instance have gotten stuck. As I’m sure I can’t easily remove the bolts, any ideas for something I could screw over them?

Wow - that is substantial!

I wonder if Home Depot/Lowes/Amazon might have some kind of rounded nut you could screw onto the bolt in place of the rope anchor. You would need the bolt diameter.

Thanks. Yeah I definitely thought I could go on a hunt for one but before I did so I was curious if anyone else here may have already ran into and solved this problem.
