The pool company put some putty on my skimmer that was cracked but its not holding. The pool was pretty filthy at the time as was the skimmer. now that its clean its bubbling off and not hardened. Should i scrape off the old putty before trying to put new putty on? or just put the new putty over the old putty? Any tips for doing it correctly and making sure it cures well?
