Pool pump timer not working

My timer is not working lately. I have it completely turned off but the pump still runs when the power is turned on. Only way to shutdown the pump is by turning off the main power. I haven't changed any settings, everything is set to Auto except Heater. How to fix it?

You can swap the pool pump timer with the cleaner timer to see if the timer is at fault. Be sure to shut off all power to the pool panel at the breaker before messing with it.

Most likely the timer contacts are stuck/welded together. You may be able to unstick and carefully sand the contact to get a bit more life out of your present timer. Timer replacememt is about +/- $70 online.

Compool is now owned by Pentair. Probably a stuck relay. Here is a parts list - https://www.pentair.com/content/dam...-and-spa-equipment/Compool_Control_System.pdf

I think timer mechanism is separate from the relays that control the power. You need to open up the cabinet if you are comfortable working around electrical stuff.
