Pool pump run times following pebble finish install

Hi everyone! Pool is set to be resurfaced using a pebble finish this week (so excited!) and I just thought of something and figured maybe some of you experts will know the answer! Right now our pump (single speed at the moment; hoping to upgrade soon) runs for 8 hours per day (9am to 5pm) due to the weather during the summers here being so hott, but come fall and winter we usually decrease the run time to about 5.5 hours to save on cost. Will this be a problem with our new finish being so new? Should we keep the pump running for 8hours for a few months or does it not matter? We are aware that we need to keep it running for 5 days nonstop directly after the pool is filled, but didn’t know if pump run time will matter after the 5 days. Thank you for your help! Run your pump for 24/7 for at least the first 5 days following the PebbleTec startup guide. It says:

Once the pool is full, turn on the pool equipment and circulate the water continuously for a minimum of five (5) days or until all white material (cement dust) has been removed, filtered out, and is no longer visible when the finish surface is brushed, whichever is longer.

You need to keep the pump running until there is no visible plaster dust to keep the dust from depositing ont he new plaster surface.

Thanks for the reply! We know about the 5 days but was just wondering if there was a minimum number of hours we should run it daily after the 5 days. Like at least 7 hours per day or something.

Once the plaster dust is gone you can go to your normal pump schedule.
