Pool Pump not maintain pressure

Hi,

My pump is not maintaining pressure. It keeps fluctuation between 15-20 with water not constantly dropping level and then filling back up (see video). It is an old pump so not sure if that is an issue and needs to be replaced or something else. Water level is good in the pool and I see no visible leaks. Thank you!

H,

With the pump running, go look down into your skimmer. Does the water rush out of the skimmer and then quickly fill back up, over and over?

If so, your weir door is sticking when up.

This is not a pump issue, but something is wrong with the input plumbing on the suction side, or the output plumbing on the pressure side.

Thank you Jim. It was the skimmer door which was stuck and not letting water in and I guess sucking in air with the water not filling up. Looks like that fixed the issue. Thank!!
