Pool pump leaking

Ughh, we have a small leak in our pool pump. The cement slab under the pump is wet all the time, the leak is small, but it’s there. We can’t tell exactly where it’s coming from, but it’s under the pump somewhere and not at one of the pipes. We have the Hayward Super Pump Variable speed. Any suggestions on troubleshooting I can do before I call a pool guy for a service call?? Thanks!!

Check the drain plugs. Especially if your pool is drained and winterized.

The drains plugs are all out. The pool has been opened back up. Everything is working great, including the pump, but there is a leak somewhere under the pump. The concrete slab it sits on is constantly wet now, with a small puddle, even when we wipe it up, the puddle is back within a minute.

Turn off the pump, dry it off, spray the pump with talcum powder, turn the pump on, and you should see where the drip is coming from.
