I have my pool pump wired up to an AFCI/GFCI breaker. I turned the pump off last night and everything was fine and the breaker was on, but when I went to turn it on this morning the breaker had been tripped. Yesterday we had strong thunderstorms come though this morning, and there was a lot of lightning. Could the lightning have caused the breaker to trip? What else could have caused it?

Reset it and see what happens.. If water or even moisture gets into any GFCI protected system it can cause the breaker to pop..

Thanks, I reset it and it is working just fine. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't anything wrong.
