Hello,
I backwashed my Jandy DE filter for the first time yesterday as a new pool owner, it’s a DEV 48 model and the owners manual says that I should recharge with 10 coffee cans of DE slurry in the skimmer, so that’s what I did. My pool has been crystal clear all year so far (with a lot of help from TFP) and I just feel like today it looks maybe a little cloudy. Did I do something wrong? If it is a little cloudy will it clear up on its own just by running the filter? Any advice would be appreciated as always. Thank you!

You might also do an OCLT tonight to rule out algae. You had been running FC around 10, and now it is lower, and got to 5 a few days ago. Certainly above the 4 min, but to rule out algae, cheap to do a couple tests.

I already threw some bleach in this morning and raised the FC to 8. I’m going to try this test tonight. Thanks for the tip!
